FEBRUARY 25th, 2003:

Problems reaching this site?

A few days ago, Tripod.com deleted all my websites. This meant that some of you couldn't reach this S.O.D. & M.O.D.-fansite. I just got an e-mail from Tripod.com that my account was removed by mistake, so I hope everything is working properly again...

I was very angry when this happened because they removed everything without noticing or warning me. In the meantime you were able to visit this fansite at a different location, but probably some of you couldn't find this fansite anymore. Now everything seems to be working again. Tripod.com sent me (just a moment ago) this e-mail:

"It seems as though your account was removed in error and has been reinstated. I apologize for any problems this may have caused you."

If this problem occurs again and you can't find this S.O.D. & M.O.D.-fansite at Tripod.com, please try one of these locations:

From Nuclear Blast:

M.O.D. newsletter (and more....)

Here's  an update regarding a few changes I recently made. I added: some info about M.O.D. from a newsletter I got from Nuclear Blast U.S.A., an M.O.D. bootleg from 1988 ('Beach Party U.S.A.'), some exclusive S.O.D.- pictures & news about Nuclear Assaults upcoming live-album.

1. Nuclear Blast U.S.A. newsletter             :

To read the Nuclear Blast newsletter from February 11, click here. It's contains the latest info on 'Rebel You Love To Hate'. BTW, it's almost a copy of the article I took from Blabbermouth.net earlier, the content is pretty much the same.

2. M.O.D. - Beach Party U.S.A.                    :

I got this bootleg a few days ago. This gig was originally recorded on tape. It contains an M.O.D. show from July 22nd, 1988. I have a copy on CD-R, the scan is from the original artwork of the tapecover. For more info about this bootleg (and others), go to: special items.

3. S.O.D. - pictures                                        :

Bram Schlössels from The Netherlands made a few pics backstage at Wâldrock 1999. He was able to do that because he was a volunteer at this festival. Bram sent me some pictures of Billy Milano and a few pictures of S.O.D.'s performance at Wâldrock, you'll find them at this website only. Thanks Bram!

4. Nuclear Assault                                          :

I know, this isn't a Nuclear Assault fansite, but since Dan Lilker was part of S.O.D. and because I like Nuclear Assault's music, I'm publishing this news about their forthcoming live-cd.

For those of you who are also interested in Nuclear Assault, please visit www.nuclearassault.us. There you'll find the latest news and the most recent tourdates. Nuclear Assault will release their new album 'Alive Again' in the first quarter of 2003. The track listing is as follows:

1. Rise from the Ashes
2. Brainwashed
3. F#
4. New Song
5. Critical Mass
7. Sin Betrayal
8. Radiation Sickness
9. Game Over

M.O.D. - New record in JUNE, tournews and website for Billy Milano

The new record, 'The Rebel You Love To Hate' will be released in June, according to Blabbermouth.net. So, we will have to wait a few more months. At the official Nuclear Blast website, I read earlier that the releasedate was going to be March 01st, but that might not be correct. M.O.D. will tour in America and Europe and Billy will have his own website soon...

I have copied the complete article from Blabbermouth, you can read it here:

"M.O.D., the band led by former S.O.D. frontman Billy Milano, have finalized the track listing for their new album, "Rebel You Love to Hate", for a June release through Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was mixed by Milano and Dan Korneff at Watermusic in Hoboken, New Jersey and mastered on Feb. 5 at Masterdisk in New York with Roger Lian (SLAYER, POWERMAN 5000).

The track listing is as follows:

01. Wigga
02. Rebel You Love to Hate
03. Making Friends is Fun
04. De men of Stein
05. Rage Against the Mac Machine
06. Get Ready
07. Ass-Ghanistan
08. He's Dead Jim
09. Get Ready

Alternative mixes, including radio edit mixes:

10. Rebel 808 (edit)
11. Rage Radio (edit)
12. Making Friends (edit)

Following the release of "Rebel You Love to Hate", M.O.D. will tour as part of the "Killith-Fair" both in America and Europe. Details coming.

Also, www.BillyMilano.com will be up and running in time for the release. Can't ya already feel the love?"

JANUARY 23rd, 2003:

M.O.D. - The new record is done!

According to Billy Milano, the new M.O.D. record is done.

M.O.D.-news                                            :

  • Paul Crook said early January at his website that "the record should be completed by January 20th."  Billy confirmed  today that his record is done and he added: "I will give you an update in a couple of days".

So, come back soon for more info!

Other page-news                                    :

Two more live-recordings have been added to the 'special-items' page:

  • S.O.D., Bigshots, Roseville, CA, 11/13/99;
  • S.O.D., The Fenix, Seattle, WA, 11/15/99.

The setlist of these 2 shows is pretty much the same as the Denver-show. That's not very surprising, because S.O.D. played these 3 shows in a row. The only big difference is that the very first song (even before the intro's) in Seattle was 'The Ballad of Kurt Cobain'. Very funny! For more details, click here.

JANUARY 18th, 2003:

Update: S.O.D. - Special items 'Killith Fair'

Recently I got recordings of a few shows S.O.D. did in November 1999.

In November 1999 S.O.D. toured in North America. This tour was called 'Killith Fair'. I have recordings of 4 shows they did on that tour. Two of them are added here. The other two will follow soon.

The first one I added was recorded 11-17-1999 at Ogden Theater in Denver, Colorado. The sound quality is pretty good. I only have a scan of the backcover, so if anyone has a scan of the front, please contact me.

The other show was recorded just a few days later: 11-22-1999 at The Metro in Chicago, Illinois. This show even sounds a little better and it lasts almost 80 minutes!!!

I will add the other 2 shows soon.

S.O.D. pictures

At Nuclear Assault's official website I noticed that Dan Lilker has his own website. There are lots of pictures to be found, including great pictures from S.O.D.'s European tour  (June '99). So I asked Danny if it would be possible for me to use some of his pictures at my website.

I got a reply from Danny himself. Here it is:

"Hey man-

Danny here. You can use pics from my site as long as you state that you got them from my website and link to my site.
I will forward your message to the N.A. webmaster and request that he put you in the link section.

Take care,
Danny"

If you want to visit Dan's website, go to: www.balth.20m.com. You'll find tons of Nuke- and S.O.D. pictures there. I added a selection of his S.O.D. pictures here. Thanks to Danny for letting me use some of his pics. All live pics were taken by Mike Monterulo with Danny's digital camera.
